Barbara was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in Feb of 2016. Her biggest challenge during chemotherapy has been loss of appetite and she is hoping to help keep her strength with nutritional supplements. Barbara was planning to travel with her husband on a mission trip to Equador when she began to have stomach pains only to discover it was cancer. Barbara and her husband are very active with their church and have gone on many mission trips together. She is also an avid volunteer in the community with groups such as Drive a Senior. Her mission trip work is on hold for awhile but when her chemotherapy is complete Barbara looks forward to joining some friends in a cabin in the mountains of Colorado to let the beauty of nature and good friendship help her heal.
