The first thing you notice about Beth is her smile that lights up the room (even a chemo room!) Her life’s work and passion has been dance and choreography (You can learn more about this at Bethdances.com). In 2012 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and left her work and life in LA to begin treatment back in Austin which is her family home. Unfortunately her disease metastasized and she has undergone ongoing radiation and chemotherapy through both her chest port and through a portal on her head to reach lesions in her brain. Beth’s mother, father and brother have walked her cancer journey with her since she came back from LA 4 years ago. At present Beth has difficulty walking and maintaining her appetite. If things go well, Beth hopes during her next chemo break to be strong enough to take a trip to New Mexico. We imagine she will come back inspired to create a new dance!
