“My name is Karol and I am just about to celebrate my 78th Birthday. I was diagnosed in 2014 with Endometrial cancer and underwent the full spectrum of surgery, chemo and radiation. After this, I thought I was on the road to recovery but suffered a perforated bowel related to my treatment side effects and was in rehab for several months as a consequence. I am a retired English teacher after 37 years in the greater Austin area. Currently, I am working at ACC Eastview tutoring writing skills to students which I find very rewarding.
